Mass Of Christian Burial
A Mass of Christian Burial is one of the most profound gifts we can offer at the end of a life of faith. It is not simply a remembrance, but a sacred act of worship in which we commend the soul of the departed to God, give thanks for the gift of their life, and unite our grief with the hope of the Resurrection. Through Scripture, prayer, and the Eucharist, the Church entrusts our loved one to God’s mercy while strengthening those who mourn with the promise that death is not the end, but a passage to eternal life in Christ.
At the request of our Pastor funerals should be held Monday-Saturday at 10:30am- unless there is a valid reason why it needs to be scheduled for a different time. This will need to be approved by the Pastor.
Per Canon Law, Funeral Days will not be permitted on solemnities that are holy days of obligation, Thursday of Holy Week (Holy Thursday) and the paschal triduum.
