Faith Formation for 2025-2026
Our Grades 1-6 Faith Formation classes take place on Sunday mornings in the Georgetown Church Hall on an alternating schedule.
This year class will be from 10 am to 10:55 am. Children should be picked up at 10:55 a.m. in the hall to attend our 11 am mass with their family.
We hope that this shorter session time will be better for families with busy schedules and be easier for children to focus and engage. We are also going to group our classes differently this year. Classes for Grades 1, 3, and 5 and Grades 2, 4, and 6 will meet on an alternating schedule every other Sunday (excluding holidays and school vacations) beginning on September 21, 2025.
*NEW* Class is Mass Days
We have added 4 “CLASS IS MASS!” Sundays where families (to include children in all grades and at least one parent/caregiver) will come to the 11:00 am Mass instead of having a class in the hall. This will be followed by social time with donuts and coffee and/or some of our fun parish events like Cookies with Santa and the Easter Egg Hunt!

Sacrament Preparation (Grade 2)
Students in Grade 2 will prepare for and celebrate the sacraments of First Reconciliation (in January) and First Communion (in May). Parents of 2nd graders will have a chance to choose their First Communion date/location. First Communion preparation is a two-year process. To receive First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in 2nd grade, students must be registered and attending class and Mass regularly throughout grades 1 and 2.
About the Program
Join us in person!
Last year we discontinued our homeschool option. Our program requires in person attendance for a very small number of class sessions. If there are special circumstances and/or medical reasons that will prevent your child from attending our program in person, please reach out to Tara Robillard at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to discuss.
Our Program – Pflaum Gospel Weeklies
We will be using the Pflaum Gospel Weeklies program again this year. [https://www.gospelweeklies.com/]. Each lesson is based on the same Gospel proclaimed in church on Sunday creating an instant connection between class and our liturgy each week.
Volunteers Needed
Our program isn’t possible without volunteers. This year our hope is that we will have at least one parent/caregiver volunteer for each grade level. Know another parent that you might want to co-teach with? We love that! From hall monitors to small group teachers (and helpers), there are many ways to get involved. If you are interested in volunteering in our program in some way please indicate this when you register and complete this form. All materials and training (and a lot of support) are provided! **You will also notice upon registering that we are offering a discount on tuition for parents that volunteer this year.
Questions? Please email Tara Robillard, Director of Faith Formation for Grades 1-6.
Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. We are really looking forward to welcoming your children back for another year of Faith Formation at St. Marys! Be Well and God Bless!!
