Purpose: The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) is a group of parishioners whose purpose is to assist the pastor in his leadership role of planning, organizing, initiating, promoting, coordinating, and reviewing the evangelization, worship, religious education, and service activities within the parish.

Qualifications: A council member is a person who:

*     Is a Catholic in good sacramental standing in the Church

*     Is a Catholic mature in faith and of excellent character, who show reverence and love for the Eucharist is excited by the changing times of the Church and would like to be a positive influence and guide for our parish.

*     Meets the Boston Archdiocese requirements of current CORI, VIRTUS – Protecting God’s Children Training, and signed Code of Conduct form on file.

Members are elected by the parish and appointed by the Pastor in May & June of each year.

Meetings are held once a month from September – June of each year. Please check the Parish Calendar or bulletin for our next meeting time.

Meet Our PPC Members 

Annette Bilo

 

Annette has been a member of St Mary Parish for almost 40 years.  She taught Religious Education while her two sons were preparing for First Communion and Confirmation.  She served as President of the St Mary’s Womens Club and now is a member of the PPC.  Annette earned her Registered Nursing Degree at 46 years old and loves being a dialysis patient educator.  She is semi-retired now and was invited to join the PPC.  She firmly believes is achieving our collective goal of “making St. Mary’s Parish a living and loving community of believers seeking to deepen our faith in Jesus Christ”.

Cyndi Del Greco

Cyndi has been a member of St. Mary’s Parish since moving to Georgetown in 2010 with her husband, Rob and two daughters, Cassie and Taylor.  She has been active member of the parish serving as a lector, Eucharistic minister and contributing to People Helping People.  She also taught religious education to grade 1 students.  She now serves as the Vice -Chair for our Pastoral Council.

Anne Gosselin Girard

Anne has been a member of St Mary Parish since 1989. She has been serving the parish since moving to Rowley with her husband, Roger and two children, Christophe and Nicole.  Anne was on the liturgy committee, served as a religious education teacher, choir coordinate and was on the summer children’s liturgy of the word program during mass.  Anne is a dedicated catholic who embraces Jesus’ way by piety, study and action.  One of her favorite ways to contribute to the parish is helping to craft the Easer Candle.   

Bert & Tricia Hanlon

Bert grew up in Georgetown, attending St. Mary's Parish for many years.

As he became an adult married and started a family, we moved to Rowley attends Mass at our Rowley location. We have been members for over 30 years. Bert and Tricia have three grown adult children who live all over. Craig is in CA; Erin is married living in Baltimore MD with my 2 grandsons and Neil is also married living in Bedford MA.

Michael Jaras

Michael was married at St. Mary’s Church Georgetown in 1989 and has been a parishioner ever since.  Him and his wife Susan have been married for 34 years and have two adult children, Nicole and David.  His daughter, Nicole, is a teacher in Newburyport.  His son, David, is married and a funds account manager, living in Sarasota, FL.  Michael is an active PPC member and currently working on our “Welcome” program which consists of reaching out to newcomers who have recently moved to surrounding towns.

Tom Parisi

Tom has been a member of St Mary’s Parish since 1993.  Tom has been an active member of the parish serving as a lector, Eucharistic minister, religious education teacher, member of the choir, participant of the People Helping People program, Knights of Columbus and Vice Chair of the Finance Council.  Tom is a recent recipient of the Bishop Cheverus Award.  He is originally from Everett and is married to Debbie Skalecki of Everett since 1988.  He is the father of Daniel and Nicholas.

Annie Rhodes

Annie and her family have been a part of St. Mary Parish for about 22 years.  This parish has watched and helped her raise three children. She is inspired by her faith which has challenged her to take on many different roles in the last 2 decades, including choir member, Eucharistic Minister, Director of Religious Education, Lector, and now member of the Parish Pastoral Council.
