The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic family service organization. The Order is based on the principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. Frank M. Meader Council #6064 is active in its support for many worthwhile religious, civic, and social activities both within and outside of the Parish. Regular meeting times are the first and third Wednesdays of the month.
On Sunday September 25, the Knights held a blood drive with Children's Hospital.
The drive was in honor of one of St. Mary Parish parishioners, McKinley Rose Nicholas, who is only two years old. McKinley has been fighting Acute Myeloid Leukemia since she was one year of age and is now in remission. It is an honor for the Knights to collect much needed blood in her name and for other children who are sick. Each pint of blood collected can help up to four sick children. We are excited that during this blood drive 36 donors came forward to donate 29 pints of blood. We are grateful for the support and hopeful that through our small service we can do our part in making a better life for many children.
