We continue our study of historical literature in the bible beginning with the book of Joshua, which concludes    Israel’s exodus journey through the successful conquest and settlement of Canaan, the Promised Land around 1200 BCE; then we move to Israel’s leadership in the Promised Land by Judges and eventually by kings; we’ll end the first session at 2 Samuel 13.

Session 2 begins Tuesday, January 7 from 11:00 am -1:00 pm [bring a lunch] and Wednesday night,January 8 from 7:00-9:00 pm.

We will complete our study of the book of 2 Samuel 14-24 and the books of 1 & 2 Kings, which brings Israel’s history up to the destruction of their first temple and their exile to Babylon. We will continue our study of biblical literature focusing on post-exilic biblical history through the books of Ezra and Nehemiah, which describe the  Israelites  returning to Israel after seventy years in exile
